Littlehampton Armed Forces Veterans Breakfast Club overwhelmed by support from customers at Morrisons. Ian Buckland, vice-chairman of the club, was overwhelmed with the generosity and support shown by the people of Littlehampton. He said: “We raised a massive £605.46 which will go towards supporting our veterans in many ways, as in assisting with travelling costs to specialist appointments for mental health support and medical needs, much-needed extra food and for everyday general support for their wellbeing.”
Chelsea Pensioner Colin Thackery has won the ITV variety show Britain's Got Talent.
The military veteran sang his way through the competition, performing songs like 'We'll Meet Again', 'Wind Beneath My Wings' and 'Love Changes Everything'.
During his semi-final and final performances, he was also joined on stage by a chorus of his friends from the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
The second AFVBC breakfast to be held at the Royal Hospital Chelsea will be on Saturday 10 August 2019. Timings to be confirmed. This photo was at our last meeting again we had a really good atmosphere and the sun was out so we had brews outside before Breakfast and had a couple of new guys joined us for the first time. A couple of the wives where there as well which I enjoyed as they are a big part in the support in our lifes. I missed the last two months due to work commitments but Bill kept us going as my right hand man and we try to encourage more Veterans to join us from the different towns and villages around us for some good banter and to meet other Veterans from there local Area
Every Saturday at 10am the ex forces and reserve community of Milton Keynes come together for breakfast and a catch up at at ‘Capt Riddleys Shooting Party’.
The Wetherspoons establishment’s unusual name reflects its proximity to Bletchley Park, and the secret recce that sited the WW2 codebraking base. The landlady, Ex forces herself, gives a 20% discount to the breakfast club.
